A small touching story mainly for professionals...

I was touched by this very short but yet a meaningful father and son story... This is for all of us who don't have enough time for the family.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON:   'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD:   'Yeah sure, what is it?' replied the man.
SON:   'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD:   'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON:    'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make anhour?'
DAD:    'If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour.'
SON:     'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON:   'Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

DAD: 'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.
SON: 'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.
DAD: 'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man.
DAD: 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the Rs.50 you asked for.'
SON: The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.
DAD: 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.
SON: 'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.
SON: 'Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?
Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

Do remember to share that Rs.100 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days..

But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

hmmm....

I want to try something new in my life. Start doing things that would me make happy and that would satisfy me, but behind my back someone is whispering and that keeps me stay to where I am right now. I do not know the state of my heart right now, I can’t even decide for myself and I’m letting other people to manipulate my life. It’s fine for me but sometimes it makes me feel sucks.  I am being pressured by the situation which makes me feel dumped.

I'm having anhedonia

I’m having my anhedonia now; I don’t understand why is it that I am not that totally happy? Even with the blessings that God gave me, I am not that happy. Something is missing, I know what are those, but I’m having a hard time seeking for that lacuna – a space from which something is missing. All I want in my life is to become happy, but I know, that once I choose to be happy I need to face all the consequences which I am afraid to deal with. I’m trapped and I don’t know where to go and what to do. Help me!

Labor day

Today we celebrate the Labor Day. The DXAB team was there in Gaisano Mall to cover the Jobs Fair in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). I witnessed many unemployed graduates who is seeking for a job. Some were trying their luck abroad, since some of the company's who participated the event are for abroad. At the same time we celebrated fiesta in our Subdivision. I left them in our house this afternoon and now me and my siblings are having our bonding time.

Craving for comfort

After the long stay at the office, let your self unwind with these guaranteed techniques. Good quality down time can give your body the right boost it needs for another productive day to come.

If you’re raring to let your feelings out but can’t find a friend to talk to, you’ll always have your pet pup Bruno for support! Pets have a natural ability to heal us from stress.

Be it rock and roll, lounge, pop, or urban, it’s time to unwind and listen to your FAVE Music CD on your stereo system or mp3 player.

Photo Albums of friends, family and memorable moments are surefire ways to de-stressing. The albums can take you back to a time and place when you were happy and stress-free.

Keep your feet happy with a pair of comfy flip flops. It’s a great way to let them breathe after spending the entire day in your fabulous high heels.

The aromas the Scented candles bring give your nasal passages a soothing effect. Unwind with the scents of comfort and peace like chamomile and citronella.

Let your body relax on furniture that follows the natural contours of your body. Loosen up and settle down with a Bean Bag.

Haircuts

Your hair and face change as you get older. And so should your cut. Finding the right cut and color can give a huge boost to your overall appearance. Well, at least we think so ... what do you think?

Quality Sleep for Busy Minds

Turning off your brain can be very hard – especially when your everyday concerns and worries are like valise in size. Follow these habits to help yourself get some much-needed Zzzzzs.

Never go hungry even in bedtime. Munching on something light or drinking a glass of milk can help the mind let go of tensions. Milk also contains tryptophan, a chemical ingredient that can make us sleep.

Spritz your room with a relaxing scent before going to bed to help you relax and program your mind that it’s time to sleep.

Turn off lights and other gadgets such as your phone, radio, and TV. A dim, cozy, and quiet room also helps relax your mental muscles, according to Dr. Joel Harber, an American behavioral medicine psychologist.
