island trippers

Our weekdays are always stressful, because it is a routine to me as a producer to produce a segment everyday while my friends Jof and Mel busy gathering news as part of their work as a reporter, while Ate Estela kept on complaining on her 8 hour work inside the P.A room of DXAB.

Just to get away from the usual we decided to visit the beautiful beaches of Mati, Davao Oriental. Because we have a friend in that place who invited us to go to their resort.

We arrived in Mati at around 7PM and we headed to their resort in Dahican. In the morning, from the resort were we stayed we went to Cinco Masao and rode a pump boat going to Waniban Island, a 30 minute drive from Cinco Masao. We were so amazed with the island because aside that you can tour the island in 20 minutes, the island was like a paradise. The white sand and the amazing rocks in shoreline make me enjoyed in the small paradise.

It was a fulfilling adventure for us. The island is the best example of a lush nature, an amazing den for those who craved for nature.

Boracay vacation

I had my two day vacation in boracay along with my two closes friends, Mona and Fern. It was a memorable vacation because we don’t have enough money, but then again we managed to enjoy ourselves in that expensive resort – Boracay! LOL!!

The said trip was the second version of our Camiguin, Bohol and Cebu, escapade we can’t imagine we been in that cities without enough money… funny but its true.hahaha! Anyway, watch out for our next escapade…

Overall that vacation was really great and fun, I realized that you don’t need to have lots of money to treat yourself and I just proved that I am a certified “LAAGAN!” LOL! Here are some of our pics..

A boring saturday afternoon

Yesterday, while waiting for our talent for the MX3 commercial I had the chance to take some pictures of the things that I saw in the street. We waited there for about an hour and so I grabbed the moment to click the shutter-release button of my camera. I was so sleepy then and kinda bored of waiting so I pleased myself through taking pictures.

Boto Mo I-Patrol MO Mall launching

June 19, 2009 was a tiring day for me, yet fulfilling because of the event that we handled. It’s a date to remember because hundreds of people got united to speak out and decided to become vigilant for the upcoming election.

ABS-CBN Davao had it’s leg activity of BMPM (Boto Mo, Ipatrol Mo) mall base and NCCC Mall of Davao was the first partner of the campaign. The COMELEC had their satellite registration during the mall launch and they accommodated 250 first time voters’ registrants. STI Davao were there to help the BMPM volunteers to register online. During the program, we were all thankful because representatives from DCPO, COMELEC, DepEd XI, UCCP and Jaycee’s Davao were there to support the campaign. A Press Conference was held with the presence of the other Medias from print (Sunstar, Mindanao times, Etc.).

Numbers of the volunteers expresses their hearts for the campaign through the commitment wall as they leave their thumb marks and signatures. After all, the tiredness and the hustle that I felt on that day were lost and what was left, were the happiness and the contentment in my heart because of the success of the activity.

eyewear for you

I’m not actually an Eyewear fanatic, but there are times and unconsciously I am encouraged to buy sunglasses not just about getting into it, but because I just want to have it, for personal consumption per se.. Anyway, aside from that, there are advantages of wearing eye glasses or sunglasses. Let us say for those who are encountering an eye problem, you can wear eye glasses to help you in seeing things clearly.

However, sunglasses are very useful especially during summer time and even if you are under the heat of the sun. It protects your eyes from the strong heat of the sun and aside that it is very useful; some fashionistas used it as one of their accents for their fashion statement.

But did you know that wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses needs prescription from the optometrist? Because they are the one who knows what kind of eyeglass that will suit for you, especially for those who have an eye problem, because patient should undergo first an eye check up.

After the check up that’s the time then that you can choose a design for your eyeglass. Buy only the prescribed eyeglasses and sunglasses. Anyway, there are online companies wherein you can purchase the Prescription Sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses that your optometrist assigned to you. Just visit the GlassesShop.com because they are in the sunglasses summer sales until June 15. They have a lot of styles to choose from that fits your needs. They also have hundreds of frames with tinted lenses, photochromic lenses or polarized lenses are at your choice for perfect sunglasses.

Their store is offering UV 400 and it’s free of charge. From June to July, all of the frames are sold at 10% discount. For purchase over $100, free shipping is available. This will be best for those who have no time to stroll in the malls and who are busy doing online jobs. It’s just a one search away.

My decision

Yesterday I gave my resignation letter to my Boss in DXAB and I will formally leave my post on June 24, 2009, that is three weeks from now. I’m so happy that finally I was able to give my resignation letter to my boss. I have my personal reasons why I have decided to resign. At least now all the anxieties that I have behind my back are starting to disappear.

At the same time, I am doing my plans now for the future... well anyway, I’ll just cross the bridge when I get there, though I’m not that totally jobless because I still have my MBM work, but my problem is, I’m not receiving any salary being a segment producer  from that program yet. Well I’m hoping that my papers or should I say my contract in MBM will be okay and the head office will approved it asap.

house remodeling

Having my own niche that I can call my home is really a dream.  My brother decided to be tied on the knot this September and they are planning to stay in our house. Since I’m on the right age I guess I should find my own space to live. My brother and his fiancée are planning to reconstruct our house and they are asking for my help. As I keep on searching the web I was able to visit the chicagoremodelingcontractor.biz, they have remodeling constructors who’s ready to render their time to those who are in need of constructor to remodel their houses. I got an idea and I told my brother to visit the Chicago remodeling website to get some tips. Their institution is very credible because more than 25 million homeowners in the U.S. were remodeled by Chicago remodeling constructors. My brother got an idea and so they decided to search the site. I also informed them to visit Dallas remodeling and Austin remodeling because they also offer the same services.

bag

I’m idle today, the weather doesn’t want to bare with me because it makes me drowsy. My brain is quite empty so I just want to share a little experience with my friends last Friday. I’d finished my job last Friday at around 5 in the afternoon and so Ate Estela and I decided to follow Jen and Kuya Jof at Boyds pizza haus since were craving for pizza and pasta. Lady Batod, one of the M.O.R Dj’s did join us because he’s quite bored also. Jen and Jof were there for more than an hour already and they wanted us to be in a hurry, but since the weather seem not good because of the heavy rain, plus the slow moving traffic that caused our delayed to arrived in the place.  After our pizza and pasta trip we decided to stroll a little while in GMall to get rid of our boredom and to extend our bonding because we seldom see Jen since she had her resignation in the office.

Kuya Jof, did his grocery and Ate Estela bought some stuff just for nothing while I was struck in the Box sale of Puma. Lady Batod accompanied me inside the store of Puma and I sighted one cute bag. I do really like it, and since Batod kept on pushing me to buy it, I was carried away with his influence and so I bought it. I’m not disappointed with the bag though because it really looks good and I love using it!

It looks closely to this bag.

Boto Mo, I-Patrol mo! Register now!

Last Monday, ABS-CBN launches its campaign for the incoming election Boto Mo, Ipatrol mo: Ako ang Simula. It was a nationwide activity, here in Davao, it was Ces Drilon who headed the activity. The goal of Boto mo, I-Patrol mo: Ako ang Simula, is to gather people to become a part of the campaign to patrol their votes and rights to push a clean election.   The idea of Boto mo, I-Patrol mo is so simple, get the people to care and take actions with the use of the latest technology that we have. Let us say, if you see someone who is trying to buy someone’s votes, snap a picture on your cellphone and send it to ABS-CBN, etc...

One year before the 2010 elections, stand up and say ENOUGH.

It’s time to stop complaining, and time to start doing.
It’s time to stop blaming everyone else, and time to accept responsibility for building our future.
It’s time to stop accepting the world as it is – corrupt, inefficient, unfair and unjust – and start visualizing the world as it can – and should – be.

Boto Mo, Ipatrol mo: Ako ang Simula is about YOU! Let’s start doing something, let’s change what we don’t like because the change begins with YOU!

To register just visit www.abs-cbnnews.com/botomo, be a part of this heroic activity that will totally change the bereft political system of our nation. Stand up and say AKO ANG SIMULA!

I'm sorry

I’m bothered because my friend Ate Estela was disappointed with what I did a while ago. I didn’t mean it, though I know that it’s not good. I asked an apology, and  on my behalf any consequences will be accepted. Don’t know how to heal the wound that caused her pain. I’ve learned that simple things can sometimes hurt the person you valued out of your expectations. I’m sorry Ate Ste...

Maragusan shoot

My weekend was tiring, but yet amusing because of the fun and gratifying experience that we had in Maragusan, Compostela Valley the summer capital of Davao region. The MBM group opted to visit the Maragusan for its summer ender special episode. We arrived in the place at around 1:30 in the afternoon of Friday, May 8 and the owner of the Haven’s Peak Highland Resort welcomed us in her resort where we stayed. From the resort we witnessed the beautiful overlooking view of the Maragusan town. The weather of the place was cold, and we enjoyed so much the gift of nature such as the waterfalls where the place is blessed. Our stomachs were full because of the superb fresh vegetables that the owner served us during our meals.

We visited two falls, the Marangig and Tagbibinta falls and we hopped their town. Our expedition to the said place was great!

Pbb Audition

I was shocked one evening when Ma’am Deng, our Marketing head informed me that she will assigned me to be one of the staff of the PBB audition in Butuan and will be accompanied with my previous colleagues from Production Department, Rhoda and Bimbo. At around 7am the following day, we immediately headed to Butuan and just the three of us were the passengers of the rented van. We arrived in the said city at exactly 1:30pm. I’m not happy with that trip because it was not my choice.

Were all glad because the accommodation was good. The resort where we stayed was nice and the amenities were so cool and very relaxing. After few minutes from our arrival, we decided to have little rest to each of our rooms and freshen up ourselves before going to the security meeting, just few blocks away from the resort.

The resort can be found in the heart of the city that’s why it is very accessible. Honestly, I just tried my best to be happy and I was convincing myself that I am enjoying though deep inside I’m not. We don’t have enough time to stroll and to glamour in the said city because we were all busy in the audition.  More than four thousand wannabes were there to join the audition. Some of them came from  the nearby provinces and they just visited the city to show off their talents to Direct Lauren of PBB and Teacher Monet of PDA.

Moreover, the audition was successful and we finished it peacefully. Good luck to you fellas!

ZipCity

Want an adventurous summer?? Try the hippest and coolest zipline in the city… the ZipCity, located near Dencio’s Restaurant in Hilltop. ZipCity is the most scenic, most accessible zipline in the city….

Last Wednesday, my team in MBM shoot the said zipline for the Morning destination segment in MBM. The distance of the zipline is about 320 meters. It’s cool and fun…once you try it you’ll surely ask for more rides.

missing you

I miss you so much... I do not know why I was blinded with my feelings for you, but I was blessed to have you in my life. Everything is not perfect but, you made me complete and I became whole since you came.

I miss the bonding and the fun that we’d been in the past few months. I want to bring you in a place where no one could recognize us and we could spend the whole time in each other’s arms. I miss your hugs and kisses.

Every time you are with me, my world seems want to stop. The click of the clock seems want to stop either, wanted you and I to be together. If only I can do something on the situation I will change everything so that we could be happy for the rest of our lives.

All I need is your caress and love, your presence and existence. A little time where I could claim that you are mine.  I miss everything in you...

Randy

Randy

This is our anchor Randy, a weird person but in fairness to him... he’s creative and artistic. He has an eye for art and it’s his passion. This afternoon after his radio program he wanted me to take some pictures of himself wearing his camouflage suit.

Emote

SHot!

See how weird he is doing some pose at the back of the station. He’s even claiming that he is David Garcia Jr. (Gerard Anderson) of Tayong Dalawa. LOL!
